What is prejudice?
Making a decision about someone or something before understanding/having an experience with them. (Biased views)
What is discrimination?
When someone acts on their prejudicial views and treats certain people unfairly

- fear and suspicion, particularly of change/reform
- upbringing - being taught prejudicial beliefs
- bad experiences
- scapegoating - passing blame to minorities like the Nazis did to Jews for unemployment
