Foundation Plan
Shows an above view of the site; Provides details about the land where the structures will be.
Plot Plan
Cuts the house in half; Shows each section of the house.
Section View
Show the structures as if you were looking straight at them.
Elevation Plan
Shows what the site will look like from and aerial view without a roof.
Floor Plan
Provides the “map” of the construction site; contain information about existing structures on or near the construction project; Roads and buildings in proximity.
Site Plan
Provides more thorough information about the placement of and the connections between different parts; Focuses on a building’s structural elements; Window frames, staircases, door frames.
Detailed Plans
Shows the dimensions of the future excavation on the project site.
Excavation Plan
Shows the plans for plumbing; Pipes, water tanks, drains.
Plumbing Plan
Shows the plans for electrical units; Thermostat placements, switch locations, wiring paths.
Electrical Plan
Shows a proposed structure in three dimensions.
Perspective Plan
Like detail drawings, these plans display smaller specifications for the construction project; Focuses more on design elements; Floor patterns, wall paint colors.
