All commercial building projects to include residential development and refurbishment projects.

Improve overall management and coordination of H&S at all stages of a construction project.

Client
Principal Designer

What projects must have a Principal Designer and Principal Contractor, and a H&S file?
All projects with more than one contractor working on the site.
Who is the onus on?
The client.
What Plan is required?
A Construction Phase Plan
What has to be done if a project lasts longer than 30 construction days with 20 or more workers working simultaneously on site, or more than 500 ‘person’ days of construction work, or demolition work?
Form F10 to be submitted to HSE.
What must be maintained during the construction and passed to the occupier of a building?
CDM file containing all aspects of H&S information regarding the property and the operation/running of the building.
What happens if the regulations are not satisfied?
HSE can issue a fine.
