Bigger states population the more influence they have over the new country and more votes
New Jersey plan
Proposed by William Patterson -GREAT FOE SMALL STATES - same three branches MAIN DIFFERENCE: Only one house in the legislative- Each state gets one representative in congress no matter in size
Great compromise
Proposed by Roger Sherman(Connecticut)
-two houses in the legislative
Upper-senate: each state gets two senators no matter the size of population
Lower-house of reps: seats are awarded based on population
