The preamble is a group of things that would make the constitution better

The Congress sets up the Legislative Branch and outlines its powers. Some of its powers are to create laws that reflect the needs and wants of United States citizens.
- What does it mean to Impeach? Who has that power?
- How is the Legislative Branch set up?
The United States Congress is the legislative (lawmaking) branch of our federal government. Congress meets in Washington, D.C. to make federal laws—laws that apply to the entire country. Congress is bicameral, which means it is made up of two chambers: the Senate and the House of Representatives. Each chamber includes elected officials from all fifty states. Congress was created by the Constitution, and that document describes how this branch of government works.
- How many Senators does each state have? How many Senators are there?
Each state has a total of 2 senators. So there would be a total of 100 senators as each state gets two.
- How long is the term for a Senator? Who does a Senator represent?
The Senators represent the interests of their citizens across their entire state for a term of 6 years.
- What are the requirements for a person to be eligible for Senator?
A Senator must be at least 30, a U.S. citizen for at least 9 years, and live in the state they represent.
- How do they determine the number of Representatives for each state in the House of Representatives?
The number of representatives from each state depends on the population = 453 total.
- How many Representatives are in the House of Representatives?
435 total.
- How long is the term for a Representative? Who does a Representative for the House represent?
The Representatives represent the interests of the citizens who live in their district (section of a state) for a term of 2 years.
- What are the requirements for a person to be eligible for Representative?
Representatives must be at least 25, a U.S. citizen for at least seven years, and live in the state and district they represent.
- What is a Bill? What does it mean if it becomes ratified?
A bill is an idea that is selected and voted by the people of the Senate to make a law. If something is ratified, that means that thing is accepted and officially valid.
- How do the Elastic Clause and Amendments help the Constitution adapt to changing times?
The Elastic Clause helped Amendments help the constitution adapt to changing times as it gives the Constitution a better way of not stating a lot of things in the Constitution.

of the powers?
The article ll of the Constitution sets up the Executive Branch and outlines its powers. The president is the leader of the Executive Branch. Some of the President’s powers are to be the Commander-in-Chief of the military, choosing Supreme Court justices, making treaties with other countries, and ensuring the laws of the country are followed.

Veto is the power that is given to the president to reject a bill once no matter the votes of the Senate.
- What are the requirements for a person to be eligible for President?
A person must be a natural-born citizen of the country and at least 35 years old.
- How long is a Presidential term? How many terms can a President serve?
A president cannot serve more than two 4-year terms—a total of eight years.
- Who makes up the Executive branch? (it’s not just one person!) What does the term Cabinet mean?
The President, Vice President and cabinet makes up the Executive Branch. The term Cabinet includes the people who are next in the lines after the vice president to become the president if something happens to him.

Article lll sets up the Judicial Branch and outlines its powers. Decide which is side in a case is fair and right.
- What is Judicial Review?
Once the Supreme Court has said something is unconstitutional, that’s it! The law is “struck down” and can no longer exist. Only the Supreme Court itself can reverse that decision at a later date. This power of deciding what is constitutional is called judicial review.
- How many justices are in the Supreme Court? How long is their term?
There are total of 9 justices in the Supreme Court. Their term is until they somehow resign probably retire or leave for some other reason like death.
- What is a Federalist?
Federalists are the people who want to ratify the Constitution.
- What is an Anti-Federalist?
Anti-Federalists are against ratifying the Constitution.
- What is the Bill of Rights?
The bill of Rights are some more rights given to the citizens
- What does the Bill of Rights give us?
The bill of rights guarantees civil rights and liberties to the individual_ like freedom of speech, press, and religion.
- Why was the Bill of Rights added to the Constitution?
The Bill of Rights was added to the Constitution because the Constitution lacked limits on government powers.
