Consolidation Flashcards
When both variables move in the same direction
Positive correlation
When both variables move in different directions
Negative correlation
When the variables do not have a relationship
No correlation
Making variables more specific and how you will measure each one
Operationalising variables
A predictions that there will be a statistically significant relationship between 2 co-variables
Alternative hypothesis
That there will not be a relationship between the 2 co-variables
Null hypothesis
An hypothesis that states there will be a difference without a direction
Two tailed hypothesis
Says there will be a difference with a direction e.g increase or decrease
One tailed hypothesis
The Variables investigated in a correlation
Co - variable
How strong the correlation is on a scale from -1 to 1
Correlation coefficient
The graph used in correlations
