traditional conservative - beloved in the ideas of empiricism - tradition and precdence - if not broke why fix it ideas
the ideas of burke were of a strong and stable government that can withstand revolution and revolutionary ideas in fear of an English revolution like the French happening in England

believed in the social social contract theory but different to Locke argued that the government has the power to be absolutist and militant in able to protect society - ruling class ideas same as burke to crush rebellions as they destroy nations like France
Ayn rand
new right - ethical egotism - decision making directly from self interest - no state welfare nor involvement unless crime - the state should only be there to provide an objective for people in life to follow and try to achieve
Robert Nozick
New right - wrote “anarchy, the state and utopia” - believes that ‘all tax is theft’ no tax - no helping others - Night watchman state - only get involved when absolutely neccassay to keep the peace
