A

-Religious Reformers: the catholic church was brought to an end;
dissolution was another step towards a reformed church.

-Henry VIII: Henry became very rich off of this and financially independent
opposition within the church backed down

-The Nobility: They received monastic lands from the king as a gift or cheaply sold
They could now farm the land commercially and increase their wealth

Who were the losers due to this

A

Monks: they had lost their homes and livelihood
Nuns: could not marry, many became prostitutes, no home
Devout Catholics: mourned the end of catholic practices such as praying for the dead
The Poor and the Weak: had nowhere to go as many would turn to Monasteries for aid, many became beggars
