Because the first day of the bus boycott (Rosa Parks court appearance) was so successful the MIA decided to continue the boycott until the buses were desegregated

With this boycott there were major consequences for bus companies losing a lot of money, $3000 a day (this was because the majority of people that used buses as transport were black people)
