Describe Step 1 :
1- [SAP BTP] subscribe to application
Once you’ve signed a contract entitling you to process insights/package solution - the SAP BTP admin will have/be set up a global account with the entitlement to SAP Signavio Process Insights preconfigured
What you have access to your global account what can you do?
Use the booster available to prepare your account and set things up
What is a booster?
A wizard to guide you and automate steps
It allows you create sub accounts, subscriptions, automate role assignment, assign entitlements and create service instance and service key
Steps to using booster in real life
- go to BTP cockpit
- click booster on right hand side
- type your solution name in the search bar and click the tile
- start the booster
Describe Step 3:
3- [Identify provider] configure identity provider
User Admin will ensure users are added to the identity provider they’re planning to use.
If you use a custom identity provider, set up user groups and assign the users to user groups
Describe Step 4:
4- [SAP BTP] manage users
User admin sets up users and assign roles. Exactly how users are managed depends on the identity provider chosen. You can create your own custom provider.
What happens if you use the default identity provider
it ensures users are created in the SAP BTP cockpit and are then assigned the relevant role collections
Describe Step 5:
5 - [IT Network / ERP System] Setup Data Collection
IT Specialist / ERP System Admin will ensure network and system are ready for outbound HTTP communication
What does the IT specialist mainly do?
-Ensure network setting are addressed
-ensure required certificates are installed in your ERP System
What does the ERP System Admin mainly do?
Setting up data collection and transfer between your managed system and your cloud tenant. This involves the following:
1. setting up ST-PI & ST-A/PI plug-in in your ERP systems
2. setting up a data connection
What does ST-PI & ST-A/PI plug ins contain?
- the code for system connection
- the logic for data transfer
What browsers can be use for Process Insights?
latest versions of Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox are recommended and can be used.
Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge are not supported.
