Para Que = In Order That
“Para Que” is used when there is a different subject for each clause, and is always followed by the subjunctive.

Note: AUN = Even

La pizza está rica aunque no es la mejor que he probado.

Aunque está lloviendo, el paisaje está precioso.

“ow” like in “owl” but with an “n” at the end of the syllable, but doesn’t sound like “own”, “Au” as in “Autor”.

Marta no sale por la nieve

  • por. Note that por can be used interchangeably with “a causa de”.
  • POR is used when explanation is only ONE WORD, if a lengthier explanation is required use PORQUE.
  • After Por, when it’s used as “ because of “, never add “de”, as it is implied.

I’m learning Spanish so that I can travel in Spain.

(I’m learning Spanish in order to be able to travel in Spain.)

Estoy aprendiendo español para poder viajar en España

“Para” is used, not “para que”, when the subject in both clauses is the same, and it must always be followed by an Infinitive.

Para = In Order To
Para Que = In Order That
