A

Graft from subclavian artery to ipsilateral pulmonary artery

–> improves pulmonary blood flow and oxygenation

What is a “tet spell”

A
  1. Increased PVR
  2. blood shunts through VSD into systemic circulation
  3. hypoxemia
    * due to SVR being lower than PVR

How to treat a “tet spell”

A

You have to increase SVR to improve pulmonary blood flow and oxygenation

  • phenylephrine

A

faster inductions because the shunt moves IV meds faster into systemic circulation through the shunt!!!
