a change in an individuals behaviour to conform with that of a group, only in their presence, to achieve a favourable reaction from them - internal beliefs remain unchanged.

A

a change in an individuals behaviour and internal beliefs to conform with a group - and this change remains outside of the presence of the group (permanent change)
