Esteem- achievement respect
Love and Belonging- friendship, family
Safety needs- security, health,property, employment
Physiological needs- air,water,food,shelter,sleep
Tuckman’s Model
Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing, Adjourning
Forming
just met, getting to know each other
Storming
Each member’s role is gradually becoming more apparent and members find they have common goals, but differences arise conflicts
Norming
Trust is more foundational in this stage as there is a deeper respect and understanding of each other, begin to see strengths in each other
Performing
Members can work together as one without much supervision to achieve the goal
Adjourning
Team dynamics are about to change for the better to reset the cycle. This is a time for the team to recognize and celebrate accomplishments
Stress
Body’s response to a threat, perceived threat or challenge
Adrenaline
We get the dump in fight or flight response
Cortisol
bad hormone, can build up over time. Exercise to get rid of it
Limbic System
Tries to take over in emergency
Prefrontal Cortex
Helps planning and coordinating
Acute Stress
Comes from challeneges or threats in the present moment or near future
Chronic stress
Takes place over a long period of time
Resiliency
ability to survive, adapt and grow from adverse events, thrive on and off the job
