The ability to properly handle conflict situations that arise in any group or team.
What is Active Listening?
Involves asking appropriate questions to better understand how someone else is feeling and why.
What is a Win-Win situation?
In a compromise situation, one party gives up some of what they want to allow the other party to get some of what they want.

Think ‘outside the box’ and explore how to fully meet the needs of both parties.

Express emotion, identify cause and propose solution without blaming anyone directly.

A process in which a neutral third party helps participants resolve their conflict without aggression or coercion.

What is Adjudication?
A process in which a neutral third party listens to all sides of a dispute and makes a judgment based on available information.
What is the effect of Avoidance in conflict management?
It does not offer a permanent solution but gives parties a chance to cool down.
What is Accommodation in conflict management?
When one party makes a conscious decision to place another person’s needs before or above their own.
What might Accommodation involve?
Making personal sacrifices, often at the expense of one’s own needs.

Person vs. Person (Interpersonal Conflict)
This type of conflict often involves misunderstandings or opposing goals.
What is the term for an internal struggle where an individual faces challenges making decisions?
Person vs. Self (Internal Conflict)
