Run All Windows Updates

Configure Cortana or Turn Her Off

turn system icons on/off
desktop–>right-click personalize–>search for ‘icons’, choose turn system icons on/off
e.g.: network, clock, battery, volume, etc
Disable the Photo Lock Screen

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows by opening the folder tree in the left window pane.
create a shortcut and a hot key for any app
open Run dialog: windows+r
–>App list appears (not seen before!)
find your app–>right click, create shortcut (also shows ‘Pin to Start’ and ‘Pin to Taskbar’)
say yes to put shortcut on desktop. go to desktop shortcut, right click–>properties–>Enter a key combination using CTRL + ALT + a Character in the Shortcut key box
note: You can also set up custom keyboard shortcuts for frequent actions (ex: launching your favorite site, pulling down the “crop” option in Photoshop Elements) using a freeware app called AutoHotkey–>

access windows Services
run (windows+r) ‘services’ or ‘services.msc’
print spooler - can stop if printer stuck
change light/dark mode
