What two types of views are there in specifying a default record page view?
Full view and grouped view
group view vs full view
grouped view is information in groups on a page. While full view is all the details on one page there’s not break in the panel.

How can you change it?
What and how many can be shown?
Enables a summary display of a record when hovering over the link. This can be changed in compact page layout for 7 details. It can show both the primary account fields and the related object
User Interface: What does enabling related list hover links do?
Allows for clickable link that can redirect users to complete list views of the corresponding related object records
User Interface: What does enabling Inline editing do?
Allows you to hover over a field and a pencil Icon will appear allowing you to edit on that line instead of having to click edit.

Disables the ability for a user to customize their navigation bar

When enabled, will display a button that can be used to generate a print ready format of the data in that view

custom: you can, you’ll get access to app settings

at the bottom of the page, allows for easy access in common productivity tools such as notes, History, Calculator, and Omichannel

What are they used for?
Can they be permanent?
tabs that don’t have a parent object.

each apps visibility settings, and user permissions
How is the app launcher split up?
large tiles under “all apps for apps” while other items such as custom objects, tasks, etc show up under “all Items”
How can access to apps be controlled?
through profiles or by creating a permission set for users who require access
