Conduction is the process in which vibrating particles transfer energy by colliding with each other

How does conduction work?
A
Particles collide with each other and pass energy between their kinetic energy stores. Electrons are able to move freely in the lattice so they can pass on the gain in energy.

What is convection?
A
Heat is transferred by the movement of heated fluids, a particle with more heat energy(in a gas or liquid) moves and takes the place of the particle with less heat energy
