- IgG levels for VZV can be checked and testes for
- Positive IgG for VZV indicates immunity

What can be done if a pregnant women has had exposure to chickenpox?
A
- If not immune they can be treated with IV varicella immunoglobulins as prophylaxis against developing chickenpox
- Given within 10 days of exposure

- They are treated with oral aciclovir
