Need at least 1 of the following:
LOC < 30min, PTA < 24hrs (post-traumatic amenisa)
Cognitive impairments
Personality changes
Rapid mood swings/Behavioral impairments
Postural control and balance impairments
Visual disturbances
Sleep disturbances
Cantu grading mild
Posttraumatic Amnesia (PTA) <30min
No loss of consciousness
cantu grading moderate
PTA 30min-24hr

Loss of consciousness <5 min
cantu grading Severe
PTA >24hrs

Loss of consciousness >5 min
critera for post-concussive
LOC with at least 3 of 8 symptoms arise within 4 weeks
when is Buffalo concussion treadmill test contraindicated?
Contraindicated if resting VAS of symptoms is ≥7 or with cardio risk factors
when is buffalo concussion treadmill test terminated
terminated when new symptoms are provoked (≥3 point change on VAS symptom scale pre-test- headache, dizziness, etc) or maximal exertion is achieved (Borg 18-20).
