Q

molar concentration (Molarity)

A

molarity (or molar concentration) which is
defined as moles of solute per volume of solutions in litre. The unit is
expressed as M or mol/L.

Please note that sometimes “C” is used as the symbol of molar
concentration instead of M, and M is only used to show the unit as an
alternative to mol/L)

Q

Moles don’t change where?

A

moles of solute in stock solution = moles of solute in dilute solution
therefore: C1 × V1 = C2 × V2
