What is encryption
Encryption is used to scramble information so it can be sent safely without anyone being able to read it
What is a firewall?
A firewall is a program that monitors connections to and from your computer. If it spots something suspicious it blocks it.
What does main memory do
Holds the program and data currently being executed
What is a bus
A bus is a set of wires used to transfer data between the processor and main memory
What does the ALU do
Carries out the calculations, the logical operations and the comparisons
What does the control unit do
Manages the fetching and excecution of instructions from memory
What are the registers
Temporary storage locations to store data
Give the definition of a polygon
