Characteristics of anterior teeth?
Increase in thickness of dentine and a decrease in the thickness of enamel.
Characteristics of anterior teeth in young patients?
The enamel appears milk white and translucent
What happens to enamel as we age?
Enamel gets thinner and tooth appears less monochromatic
Tooth anatomy of central incisor. What are lobes?
It has 3 lobes. Middle, the largest. Tends to be depressed and least prominent.

The grooves divide the lobes and run parallel to the long axis of the tooth
Tooth anatomy of central incisor. What are Transitional line angles?
The central and lateral incisor have mesial and distal transitional line angle. Similar to marginal ridges in posterior teeth
Shade selection using canine?
Done using canine. As it has prominent middle lobe.
The distal groove is longer than the mesial groove
