What is a biome?
A biome is a large-scale, global ecosystems with distinctive vegetation.
What is an ecosystem?
An ecosystem includes all the living (biotic) & non-living (abiotic) things in the area.
What is the definition of renewable?
Renewable is a resource that can be used again, e.g. biomass energy, hydropower etc.
How does climate affect the global distribution of biomes?
There are not many plants on the forest floor of the taiga. This is because the soils are poor and very little light gets through the dense canopy due to the little amounts of sunlight there is through-out the day and freezing cold temperatures where the plants would denature because the enzymes are not used to those sorts of temperatures.
What factors are there that influence oil prices?
- Nowadays people who work in this industry using technology which sucks all the oil from underneath the ground.
- People in wealthier countries have more energy-intensive good
