Preeclampsia, GDM, stillbirths, and C-section
Obesity and weight gain
Increased chance of miscarriage, pregnancy –induced hypertension, and birth defects
Diabetes
poor fetal growth and low birth weight
Eating disorders
low birthweight/pre-term baby; post partum depression; baby with anemia, NTDs, or developmental delays
Anemia (IDA)
gestation diabetes, hypertension, and postpartum infections
Overweight
- Risk for stillbirth or miscarriage
- Gestational DM
- Sleep apnea
- C-section and/or risk for complications

Underweight women
- when a baby is born before 37 weeks of pregnancy
- greater risk of death
- neurological problems reflected later in low IQ scores
- attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
- congenital malformations
- chronic health problems like cerebral palsy.
Underweight pregnancy
Gastroschisis
intestines of the baby are found outside the baby’s body
increased risks of preeclampsia, macrosomia, and cesarean delivery, and their associated morbidities.
GDM
too much amniotic fluid
Hydramnios
growing mass of tissue inside the uterus
Hydatidiform
- Proteinuria
- Severe headaches
- Blurred vision
- Nausea/vomiting
