Lower muscle mass

Loss of muscle mass due to muscle breakdown
e.g. rhabdomyolysis in acute renal failure

Why do you take ACE inhibitors at night?
A
Reduces bp (dizzy) making it easier for heart to pump blood
by reducing pre-load on heart, hence reducing after-load
and overall reduced cardiac output (CO)

Whats the mantra when treating with ACE inhibitors?
A
Treat LOW and SLOW… titrate every 1-2 weeks
