Q

3 steps to analyze a complex design

A
  1. Check for ouliers and mistakes
  2. Descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation)
  3. Inferential statistics (interaction effect, main effects)

Q

How do you find possible interaction effects?

A

By using the subtraction method
In graphs where lines are not parallell: they cross each other, converge or diverge

Q

3 problems with interaction effects

A

-Floor and ceiling effects
-Sometimes interaction effects can be statistically significant “by accident”
-If there is enough space in the dependent variable the interaction effect would disappear.
