Explain what ‘Complementary Medicine’ is:
It is a combination of both major therapies e.g. acupuncture and less invasive therapies such as massage

Acupuncture is the insertion of a solid needle into any part of the human body for disease prevention, therapy and maintenance of health
It is thought to close gates preventing nerve impulse transmission to prevent pain
