light, space, water and mineral ions

What is interdependence?
-This describes how organisms in a community depend on other organisms for vital services e.g. food, pollination or seed dispersal
-any major changes in the ecosystem such as one species being removed can have far- reaching effects
what is a stable community?
-A community where all biotic and abiotic factors are in balance
-As a result the population sizes remain fairly constant
what are some examples of a stable community?
rainforest, oaklands and coral reefs
What is an ecosystem?
the interaction of a community of living organisms (biotic) with non living (abiotic) parts of their enviornment
What is a habitat?
the place where an organism lives
What is population?
all the organisms of one species living in habitat
What is a community?
the populations of different species living in a habitat
