What is structuration?
It is the contextual features such as organizational culture and routines.
What is the resource-based view?
Organisations internal resources are key to organizational capabilities
What are the elements of compassion?
- Notice or attend to the suffering
- Regarding others and resembling empathetic concern
- Behavioral display of action or response to ease suffering in some way.
What are the dimensions of compassion organizing?
Scale, Scope, Speed and Customization
What is scale?
The amount of resources generated and directed towards a person suffering.
What is scope?
The variety of resources.
What is speed?
The amount of time taken to initiate and complete the response to persons suffering.
What is customization?
The efficient patterning and shaping of resources to meet the needs of those who are suffering,
What is compassion activation?
it refers to the ways in which the pain trigger takes on social reality.
What are the features of compassion organizing?
- Created roles
- Improvised routines
- Leader’s symbolic actions
- Stories of care
What does it mean by created roles?
These are the informal, unofficial roles that emerge during the organizing process. It lasts as long as the process demands them and fades as the process winds down.
What does it mean by improvised routines?
These are the normal work routines that are spontaneously modified to address the suffering.
