Chief Financial Officer
The CFO is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial health and managing the finance actions of the company. The CFO usually reports to the chief executive officer or other senior executives of the company
Controller
Working alongside the CFO, the controller is responsible for managing the accounting staff. The controller is primarily responsible for immediate financial issues and management.
Treasurer
The treasurer develops various policies to obtain sources of financing for the organization and reports to the CFO.
Internal Auditor
An internal auditor evaluates financial and operational business activities to ensure accurate financial data and reports to the CFO.
Tax Accountant
The tax accountant prepares tax reports for governmental agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and reports to the controller.
Financial Accountant
The financial accountant prepares financial information for those outside of the company, per GAAP guidelines, and reports to the controller.
Managerial Accountant
The managerial accountant prepares information used to make decisions within the organization and reports to the controller.
