Scour test (quadrant)
A
- pt close to EOB with hip flexed and foot resting in table
- PT places one hand over top of pts knee
- pts hip is placed in 90 degrees flexion with knee comfortably flexed
- from here PT adducts hip until pelvis begins to lift
- then moves hip into flexion and abduction- outer quadrant

Patricks test (FABER, figure 4)
A
- Pt supine with involved hip simultaneously flexed, abducted, and ER so lateral ankle rests on uninvolved Leg just proximal to knee
- stabilize ASIS of uninvolved side while pushing down on knee of involved side until end range achieved
- apply 3-5 small amp oscillations at end range into resistance

A
Tests for anterior labral tear
- pt in supine and PT puts hip into flexion, ER and full abduction
- then hip is extended, IR, and adduction

Check for posterior labral tear
- pt supine and PT places the hip into full flexion, adduction, and IR
- then hip is extended, abducted, and ER
