When is RAIM required on board the C130J?
Always, to meet on-board performance monitoring requirements
How does the C130J demonstrate RAIM equivalence in the absernce of ANP?
Through the Aircraft Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (AAIM) or Manual Integrity Monitoring (MIM).
What is the minimum number of EGIs to meet RAIM equivalence?
One EGI solution must be available with GPS input that has a FOM of 2 or better. Solution must be selected as master INAV.
How is AAIM achieved?
Under normal conditions through AAIM whn two EGI solutions with GPS input are available. POS ALERT ACAWS can be generated.
How can MIM be achieved?
When only a single EGI with GPS is available. Crews must manually monitor the GPS FOM value for degredation beyond FOM 2 at intervals not exceeding one hour and within 3NM of crossing the IAF during RNP-APCH
What is the minimum equipment for dispatch - RNP 4,2,1 RNP APCH?
- Based on fully servicable navigtaion system.
- CO 37SQN approval to amend min equipemtn for dispatch requiremetns if operationally required.
What is the minimum airborne equipment to maintian RNP 4,2,1 and APCH?
1 of everything, 2 HDDs
What is TA response?
Crew must look for and monitor traffic using the display as an acquisition aid. Don’t manoeuvre unless visual contact confirms that separation will not be adequate.
What is RA response?
When an RA alerts, the PF must follow HUD or PFD fly-to commands, without using automation. PM must notify ATC if deviation from a clearance or instruction is required when following the RA + when clear of conflict.
