84WG 03-103 FUEL POLICY Flashcards
What is definition of taxi fuel? What is nominal amount?
- Fuel required for APU usage, engie start, Before TO procedures an taxi to TO position.
- 700 lbs
When should taxi fuel be increased?
When taxi time is anticipated to be > 30 mins or APU usage is anticipated to exceed 60 mins.
What is definition of flight fuel? When does icing need to be added?
- Fuel required for TO, depature, climib, cruise, descent to 1500 AGL overhead the destination or alterate from ETP (A)
- When foreast icing conditions are enroute.
What is the definition of Contingency Fuel?
Increase in flight fuel required to permit diversion in the event of an engine failture or depressurisation.
What is the definition of variable fuel reserve?
Fuel that is carried to cater for unplanned events or contingencies such as wx deviations, atospheric conditios, drag or fuel flow variance and enroute ATC restritions.
What is defintion of destination alternate fuel (ALT)?
Fuel required to conduct a missed approach at destination then climb, cruise and descent to 1500 ft AGL overhead destination alternate.
What is definition of approach fuel (APP)?
Approach fuel required to manoeuvre from 1500 ft above the airfield, configure and land.
What is the definition of FFR?
Fuel that permits 30 mins holding over the destination or alterante airfield at 1500 ft.
What is definition of Holding fuel (HOLD)
Fuel required for specified duration at destination or alternate airfield at 1500 ft at planned AC wieght and config.
What is the definition of ADDIT fuel?
Additional fuel is the quantity of fuel above needed to comply.
What is point of safe diversion (PSD)?
Most limiting point enroute from which diversion to an alternate airfield is possible, meeting inflight fuel requirements on all engines (while meeting inflight fuel requirements on all engines, three engines and despressurised).
Equi-time point - 1 engine inop (ETP-1) defnition?
The point enroute from which the same fuel is required to proceed onward to destination or to suitable enroute alternate, considering failure of one engine.
Equi-time point - Depressurised (ETP-D) definition?
The pont enroute from which the same fuel is required to proceed onward to destination or to an acceptable enroute alterate depressurised.
Equi-time point - all engines (ETP-A) definition?
The point enroute from which same fuel is required to proceed onward to destinatioin or suitable alterate in normal conditions.
What is the definition of remote island destination?
An airfield on an island destination where carrying fuel to a destination alternate is not possible. Due to remoteness and variable weather conditions associated with island destinations, additional fuel planning requiredments are specified.
