  • Goal: ensure timely and appropriate collection, creation, distribution, storage, retrieval, management, monitoring, and the ultimate disposition of project information.

Communication mgmt plan

A

describes how project communications will be planned, structured, implemented, and monitored for effectiveness
plan contains:
-stakeholder comm requirements
-information to be communicated (incl. language, format, content, and level of detail
-escalation processes
-reasons for the distribution of that information
-timeframe and frequency for the distribution of information and receipt of acknowledgment or response
-person responsible for communication and authorizing release of confidential information
-person or groups receiving the information
-methods or technology such as email, memo, social media, etc.
-resources allocated for communication incl time and budget
-can include guidelines and templates for status meetings, online meetings, etc.
