18
Q

What are 3 ways viruses are spread

A

Water - pathogens can be picked up by drinking or bathing in dirty water e.g. cholera is a bacterial infection soread by drinking contaminated water with diarrhoea
Air - pathogens are carried in the air in droplets (airborne) produced when you cough or sneeze e.g. the influenza virus
Direct contact - touching contaminated surfaces , including the skin e.g. athletes foot is a fungus which causes the skin to itch and flake off
