  • usually starts behind ears and spreads to head and body
  • can be serious in pregnancy
  • Aching fingers, wrists and knees
  • Fever

Shingles

A
  • tingling/burning feeling on skin
  • blotchy rash appears on one side of body
  • usually affects torso but can affect other body parts
  • skin can remain painful for weeks after rash has gone
