Nitrification, 2 steg, vilka bakterier samt vilken typ. Vad händer med pHt?

A

Aerobic
1. Ammonia oxidation NH4/NH3 TAN oxideras till NO2 (nitrit) av nitrosomonas
2. Nitrite oxidation NO2 (nitrit) oxideras till NO3 (nitrat) av nitrobacter.
Båda bakterierna är chemo-litho-autotrophs.

pHt sänks när bicarbonate konsumeras, detta är samma sak som att säga att alkalinitet förstörs och att det då blir surare.
