Gynaecomastia + hyperkalaemia,
Frusemide
Hypokalaemia, AIN (acuteinterstitial nephritis)
ACE-i
Dry cough, postural hypotension, angioedema (swelling of lips/eyes/tongue)
Not in renal vascular disease or pregnancy
Illegal drugs that dilate the pupil
TCA = tricyclics, cocaine, amphetamine
Illegal drugs that constrict the pupil
Heroin = treat with naloxone
Digoxin
Yellow vision, digoxin tick
Thiazide
Gout, hyperglycaemia, hypokalaemia
Not in pregnancy or diabetes, gout, hypercholesterolaemia
Vancomycin
Red man syndrome
Statins
Rhabdomyolysis (painful proximal myopathy)
Gentamycin
Ototoxicity
Aspirin overdose = give charcoal
Vomitting, hyperventilation, tinnitus (ringing in ear) and sweating + respiratory alkalosis (caused by hyperventilation) followed by metabolic acidosis
Metformin
Greasy smelly stools, lactic acidosis
beta blockers
Bronchoconstriction, Bradycardia, Boner (lack of-impotence), Blunts hypoglycaemia, cold peripheries
Not for asthma or PVD(peripheral vascular disease)
