- CBC, Hgb, Hct
- blood type, RH factor, antibody screen
- HIV
- Rubella (titer should be at least 1:8)
- Hepatitis B (HBsAg)
- UDS (urine drug screen) urinalysis
- RPR/VDRL (antibodies to cardiolipin antigens), treponemal antibody tests tests for treponema pallidum antibodies
- pap (papanicolaou) tests
- Gonorrhea and chlamydia cultures
- ultrasound for pregnancy dating

- Antibody screen on Rh negative patients
- glucose screen (1 hour glucose screening
What should you do if the Rh is negative?
Give Rh0 immune globulin (about 28 weeks)
What should you do if the 1 hour glucose screening is abnormal (140 or greater)?
3 hour GTT
What are the 5 tests done between 24-40 weeks of gestation?
- CBC
- RPR/VDRL or treponemal test

What will positive Group B streptococcus women require during labor?
antibiotics
What will unknown status of Group B streptococcus need during labor?
antibiotics, always assume positive and treat
Do scheduled C-sections need to be treated for Group B streptococcus?
