- Concluding statement - do strengths outweigh the weaknesses
How to answer discuss question
- Start with contention
- 4-5 arguments in favour
- 1-2 arguments against
In arguments, include:
- Reasons for arguments
- Benefits and limits OR
- Strengths and weaknesses
Can also give your opinion at the end
Example of analyse question
With references to the POJs, analyse the role of the jury in a criminal trial (8 marks)
- Definition of juries

- Link each part to each other

Evaluate the ability of criminal jury trials to achieve the principles of justice (8 marks)
- Definition of juries
- Strengths and weaknesses of juries (2-3 each)
- Do strengths outweigh weaknesses

Argue whether juries achieve the POJ or not
- Contention -> Juries in criminal trials achieve the principles of justice to a high/moderate/low extent
- 4-5 arguments for, 1-2 arguments against
Include reasons, benefits, limits, strengths and weaknesses
