What is the actual distance formula?

Radicals in Simplest Form
Explain the rules or conditions for radicals resulting from the distance formula
- No perfect square factor other than 1 is under the radical
- No fraction under the radical sign
- No fraction has a radical as the denominator
What is the theorem for the midpoint theorem?
What is the midpoint theorem?
The midpoints of the segment that joins the points ( x1 , y1 ) and ( x2 , y2 ) is the point; that results from the midpoint theorem.
What is the definition of an x - intercept and a y - intercept?
x - intercept: if ( a, 0 ) is the point where the line crosses the x - axsis, then a is the x - intercept
Plug in y = 0 to get the x - intercept
y - intercept: if ( 0, b ) is the point where the line crosses the y - axsis, then b is the y - intercept
Plug in x = 0 to get the y - intercept
How do you find the intersection point of two lines?
Set the two equations on top of each other and multiply to subtract from the top equation. Solve for y or x and then plug it back in to get the other one.
Take the x and y values to get the point ( x, y )
Plug the x and y values back in to check the equation to get equal terms on both sides.
