Tobacco
A drug crop grown in the southern regions of the world(in this case the southern colonies)that is smoked in a cigarette form.
Laborers
People who work. e.g. construction worker, car salesman, etc.
Plantation
An estate on which crops such as coffee, sugar, and tobacco are cultivated by resident labor.
Slave(s)
A person or many people that are bought from someone else to be forced to work, usually with little to no pay.
Southern Colonies
The five southernmost colonies of Colonial America. Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia.
Native Americans
The native people of the americas, most commonly referring to the natives of North America.
Indigo
A plant that yields deep-blue dye.
Eliza Lucas
The woman who introduced the indigo plant into the southern colonies.
Tyrant
A person of great power who weirdos it unfairly. Such as a king or plantation owner.
Stono Rebellion
An incident where around 20 slaves gathered at the Stono River with guns and other weapons and killed multiple plantation owners and marched south beating drums.
