U.S. program for the reconstruction of post-World War II Europe through massive aid to former enemy nations and allies.
What was the Berlin Airlift?
The U.S. flew planes over western Berlin to supply them with fuel and food.
What is NATO?
A mutual defense pledge against any future Soviet attack.
What was the Space Race?
The Cold War competition between the United States and the Soviet Union to make advances in space exploration.
What was the Arms Race?
A competition between the United States and the Soviet Union to have the most nuclear weapons.

Created to investigate un-American activities, like being in the Communist Party.
