What is coeliac disease?
This is a condition that occurs when the body reacts to a protein called βgluten,β found in cereals such as wheat and barely. When the body can not tolerate this protein it mobs that the villi in the small intestine are not formed properly. As a result of this, an individual will not be able to absorb nutrients properly
What can the villi of a coeliac be described as?
Damaged and/or flattened
Name the four cereals which contain gluten:

What are three obvious sources of glutenous foods?
> Pasta
Bread
Breakfast cereal
