Interact with strong CYP-2D6 inhibitors (Block codeine demethylated and converse into active metabolites

Interact strong CYP-3A4 INDUCERS—> Increasing the metabolism of Codeine to inactive metabolites, reduced Codeine’s effectiveness

Increasing “CNS generalized CNS depressant effects” when taking with Anti-psychotic drugs, anti-histamine, insomnia medications.

Mixed agonist/ antagonist opiods or Naltrexone will DECREADE the effect of codeine

Eluxadonline with Codeine will increase eluxadonline’s constipation SE.
