Walk in Check Door including Lights, Pins And Covers, PA Check - Overhead panel, including CVR check and gnd opsCentre Instrument panel - Pedestal- FMGS INIT - When both pilots seated; Glareshield, lighting Baro, Alt tolerance PFD’s 25’ ISIS 100’ FD’s on, LS off EFIS ND mode/range - VOR ADF selectors - FCU spd dashed, hdg V/S and set Altitude - Lateral Console. Oxy mask check - PF INST PANEL CHECK PFD,ND brightness check, Loud speaker 1 O’clock PFD/ND not transferred - PFD check for correct display when ATT and HDG are avail, IAS 30k CLMB NAV 3000 Blue - Altimeters 20’ VSI=0 No flags HDG PFD-ND-DDRMI - ND check for correct display. Gnd sped less than 5 k initial waypoint displayed, VOR/ADF indications.

PNF Cockpit prep

A

Safety exterior inspection, then by reference to QRH until RMP’s tuned, then TOLD card, then Emergency Equipment rain repellant, cct breakers and gear pins and covers stowed. WALKAROUND Both Pilots seated, Glareshield Baro ref FDs on LS off EFIS ND mode and range VOR ADF selectors Lateral Console OXY mask check PNF Inst panel check PEDESTAL FMGS data confirmation: DATA pos mon 5L check IRS in NAV x3 FMS Pos AC pos less than 5 miles ND AC correct posn on airport. INIT B & PERF check entries including TOW within limits THS setting FPLAN Check SID tracks distances and constraints against Jeppesen chart and waypoints against CFP.

When Appropriate PF Push Brakes “Brake Check”

PF “Brake Fans On” (If Required)
N1 (Limitation for TAXI = 40%)
Taxi Speed allow to build up to MAX 30Knots Where conditions Allow, then apply brakes back to 10knots. MAX 10knots prior to tight turns. Nose Wheel is behind Cockpit, so consider oversteer, especially on A321.
