A

A

A

One for each engine. 5 detents - TOGA, FLEX/MCT, CLB, IDLE, Max Reverse. A/THR disconnect on the sides

A

Multipurpose Control Display Unit. Front edges of the centre pedestal. One for each pilot and one backup. Allows full flight programming of aircraft route, modes, speeds, performance etc. Keys are 1L/R-6L/R

A

Located in front of the Throttle Quadrant. Allows switching of the ECAM lower display by pressing relevant buttons, also allows change of brightness.

A

Flap Lever

A

Located below the Transponder, opposite the Speedbrake. Each setting (0, 1, 2, 3, FULL) has a gate such that you need to pull the lever up and over.

A

Located behind the throttle quadrant. Contains engine masters and the start/ignition switch.

A

Located in between the Flaps and Speedbrake. Electrical.

A

Located above the speedbrakes on the centre pedestal. Allows change of Wx Radar Gain and Tilt.

Audio Control Panel

A

Located below each pilot’s RMP. Allows changing of what audio/radio nav aid sources are being listened to and talked on.

Parking Brake

A

Located behind the Rudder Trim. Pull and turn 1/4 clockwise to engage.

Landing Gear Gravity Extension

A

Located Behind the parking brake. Pulling out and turning clockwise 3x will deactivate gear hydraulics and extend gear using gravity.

Electrics System Controls

A

In the central forward zone of the overhead panel. Gives control over batteries, buses, generators and IDGs. Operates on push button ideology

Wipers

A

Located in the side forward zones of the overhead panel. Controls wiper in front of respective pilot.

GPWS Controls

A

Located on the captains side of the forward zone the overhead panel. Push Button ideology.

CBs

A

Located in the rear central section of the overhead panel. Not normally used in flight

Flight Control Switches

A

Located on either side of the forward overhead panel. Control the ELACs, SECs and FACs using Push Button ideology.

Fuel

A

Located in the forward centre section of the overhead panel. Gives control over tank transfer, feed and supply

Cabin Calls

A

Buttons located on the Captain’s side of the front overhead panel. Allow crew to call the relevant cabin crew stations when required.

A

Air Data Inertial Reference System. Controls located on the Captains side of the forward overhead panel. Supplies air data and inertial reference to the EFIS and other aircraft systems such as AP and flight control systems.

Fire Controls

A

Located towards the rear of the centre overhead panel. Gives fire buttons for each engine, the APU, and squib discharge.

Exterior Lighting

A

Located at the very front of the overhead panel. Allows control over Strobes, Beacons, Landing/Taxi Lights, Exterior lights.

Cargo Heat and Ventilation Controls

A

Located on the FO’s side of the overhead panel. Gives control over temperature, ventilation and isolation

APU Control

A

Located at the very front-centre of the overhead panel. Gives push button controls for APU master and start.

Hydraulics

A

Located below the Engine Fire controls. Gives control over Blue, Yellow and Green systems with push button controls.

3rd RMP/ACP

A

Located on the FO’s side of the overhead panel, providing a backup to the Captain/FO’s RMP/ACP

Internal Lights and Signs

A

Located at the very front of the overhead panel next to the APU controls. These allow pilots to control interior instrument lights and cabin seat belts/no smoking lighting

Anti Icing Controls

A

Behind the Exterior Lighting controls. Gives control over the engine and wing anti icing.

Cabin Pressurisation

A

Located next to the Anti Icing controls. Not usually used but would provide more manual control of the cabin pressurisation.

Air Conditioning Controls

A

Located at the front centre of the overhead panel. Gives crew the control of pack flow, bleed air and temperature control.
