Skin: Thin and tight-fitting.
Hair: Short, fine, and down to none on the belly.
Azawakh
Fine and short. Undercoat may grow during winter.
Sloughi
Skin: Fine and taut all over the body. Pigmentation varies according to the colour of the coat, must never have black spots or depigmentation.
Hair: Of vitreous and dense texture, smooth on head ears and legs, semi-long (2.5 cm approximately) sleek and fitting on the body and tail.
Cirneco
Smooth or rough always hard, close, dense. Longer under tail and at back of legs. Hunting scars should not be penalised.
Ibizan
Short and glossy, ranging from fine and close to slightly harsh; no feathering.
Pharaoh
Two varieties. Either short and smooth or long and wire, both of medium thickness, without undercoat. The short coat is more dense than the wire coat. In the wire variety the hair on the muzzle is longer (bearded).
Podengo
Hair - Should be short and dense, sleek and glossy in appearance but neither woolly nor silky.
Ridgeback
Coat consists of two layers. Undercoat short, close and soft, especially thick during winter. Upper coat strongly weather resistant lying close to body. On underside of tail, ordinary hair quite long but not forming a fringe. Ample hair between pads.
Hamiltonstovare
Hair: Smooth, thin, close lying and shining; without bare patches.
Porcelaine
