- Industry - Cromer crab industry plant (quality crabs in area, skilled work force).
- Residential - Sheringham (flat land, attractive area).
- Transport and trade - Cley Harbour/Blakeney Point (good transport and trading location, deep water).
- Agriculture - Farming (provides income for family, provides food for local shops).
- Energy - Paston wind farm (gas from Netherlands, easy transportation, windy area).
- Conservation - Morston salt marshes near Blakeney (provide protection for Blakeney and wildlife).
- Tourism - Cromer pier (shops, attractions, natural scenery, victorian holiday resort)
